TV & Film

“An important part of being a Scenic Artist is understanding your media thoroughly. Knowing how they react with one another is especially important on set where there is little time to experiment. Another very important tool in my profession is an understanding and appreciation for nature and all it chooses to do and be. I recreate what is made in nature. Although not limited to, a big part of my job is antiquing and recreating natural surfaces such as stone and wood. Seeing the colors within colors is an asset as paints and finishes need to be matched quickly on set with no time to spare. My appreciation for the art of the profession of a Camera Scenic Artist has given me an insight into paint, colour and composition that have been an asset both on film sets and in home decorating.”
